We\u2019ve grown from 300,000 to 20 million job postings in the past five years, with members applying to 25 million jobs every week and a new hire made every 8 seconds using LinkedIn.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It may not seem like it, but momentum is growing on the platform, which may present new opportunities for marketers willing to spend the time and effort to understand the relative shifts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this week, LinkedIn has announced a raft of new changes to its job listings and tools, catering to the aforementioned millions of users who are now using the app as a key connector to the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s what&#8217;s been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/business.linkedin.com\/talent-solutions\/blog\/product-updates\/2019\/linkedins-products-evolving-support-new-world-of-work\">announced<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Redesigned Jobs Home<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First off, LinkedIn has revamped its Jobs section to better cater to user needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialmediatoday.com\/user_media\/diveimage\/new_li_jobs.png\" alt=\"LinkedIn updates job search tools\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As explained by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/business.linkedin.com\/talent-solutions\/blog\/product-updates\/2019\/linkedins-products-evolving-support-new-world-of-work\">LinkedIn<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;The redesigned jobs homepage streamlines LinkedIn Jobs into a single search and scrolling model making it easier to find, review and apply the jobs that are right for you. We\u2019ll now automatically save your search and you can dive right back in with a single click or tap on Jobs home.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see here, the Jobs listing is less cluttered, and more singularly focused on the advertised roles, making it easier for users to scan through available opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instant Job Alerts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>LinkedIn has also redesigned its job alerts system to ensure members are sent relevant, timely notifications for any newly posted roles that meet their criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialmediatoday.com\/user_media\/diveimage\/new_li_jobs2.png\" alt=\"LinkedIn updates job search tools\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>LinkedIn says that job seekers who are among the first 25 applicants are 3x more likely to land the job, which is why it&#8217;s redesigned its job alerts system to align with your previously searched filters.
