{"id":2255,"date":"2019-07-13T12:47:11","date_gmt":"2019-07-13T10:47:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/?p=2255"},"modified":"2019-07-13T12:47:15","modified_gmt":"2019-07-13T10:47:15","slug":"study-reveals-the-top-5-seo-mistakes-made-by-marketing-agencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/study-reveals-the-top-5-seo-mistakes-made-by-marketing-agencies\/","title":{"rendered":"Study reveals the top 5 SEO mistakes made by marketing agencies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align:center\"><\/div>\n<p>A study of top marketing agencies in the UK reveals the most common mistakes made when it comes to SEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rebootonline.com\/blog\/seo-audits-30-top-marketing-companies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reboot Online<\/a>&nbsp;audited the top 30 ranking marketing agencies in the UK, including itself, to discover the marketing and SEO mistakes being made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 5 most common SEO issues found were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>70% of agencies had a poor page speed- the average score given was 41<\/li><li>63% of agencies had a lack of internal linking<\/li><li>57% of agencies had undesirable pages indexed by Google.<\/li><li>52% of agencies had pages containing thin content.<\/li><li>47% of agencies had pages poorly optimized for keywords<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other honorable mentions, so to speak, include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>33% of agencies have a poor backlink profile.<\/li><li>27% of the firms were revealed to have copied content from other parts of the web.<\/li><li>20% of digital marketing agencies had poor meta titles (especially for service landing pages).<\/li><li>20% of agencies hadn\u2019t updated their blog in over 6 months.<\/li><li>17% of agencies had no \u2018about us\u2019 page.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After analyzing all the mistakes made by agencies, the study included a brief section on the things they\u2019re doing well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agencies are doing exceptionally well when it comes to E-A-T, the study finds.
