{"id":2347,"date":"2019-07-21T13:47:21","date_gmt":"2019-07-21T11:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/?p=2347"},"modified":"2019-07-21T13:47:25","modified_gmt":"2019-07-21T11:47:25","slug":"apple-pay-now-available-for-national-australia-bank-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/apple-pay-now-available-for-national-australia-bank-customers\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple Pay now available for National Australia Bank customers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align:center\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>National Australia Bank customers will now be able to access Apple Pay with their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac with an eligible Visa debit or credit card.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The service is now live for NAB personal and business customers so they can make an easy, secure and private payment with their Apple device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve been hearing from customers that they want Apple Pay and it\u2019s great to be able to launch this service today,\u201d says NAB chief customer experience officer Rachel Slade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re continuing to listen to customer feedback and take action to become the bank our customers want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.techguide.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/NABApplePay1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.techguide.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/NABApplePay1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-104130\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs part of our transformation we are investing significantly in our technology and digital services to support our customers to manage their money how they choose.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apple Pay can be used in store and online in a secure transaction that is verified using Face ID or Touch ID on your Apple device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s what NAB customers need to do to set up Apple Pay:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Open the Wallet app and tap the + in the top right corner.<\/li><li>Follow the prompts to add your NAB Visa card.<\/li><li>Your identity will be verified via SMS as part of the set up.<\/li><li>Apple Watch users will be prompted to set this up after your identity has been verified.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>When using Apple Pay, the actual credit card numbers are not stored on the device or on Apple\u2019s servers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead a unique number is assigned to the transaction and encrypted before being securely stored in the secure element on the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each transaction is authorised with a one-time unique dynamic security code so it\u2019s actually safer and more secure than using your actual credit or debit card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National Australia Bank is the latest to offer Apple Pay to its customers following the Commonwealth Bank in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ANZ was the first of the major banks to offer Apple Pay back in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Westpac is now the last of the major banks yet to offer Apple Pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source:  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techguide.com.au\/news\/mobiles-news\/apple-pay-now-available-national-australia-bank-customers\/\">https:\/\/www.techguide.com.au\/news\/mobiles-news\/apple-pay-now-available-national-australia-bank-customers\/<\/a> <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Australia Bank customers will now be able to access Apple Pay with their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac with an eligible Visa debit or credit card.
