That minor mistake could become magnified and live online for eons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you feel like your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/business\/\">business <\/a>could do better, you might get your inspiration from your property manager or landlord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most people don\u2019t think of their landlord as a muse, I realize, but I\u2019m the owner of a national franchise property <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/business\/\">management company<\/a>. That\u2019s my wheelhouse, and if you think about it, if you have a landlord or property manager, whether they are wonderful to work with or something of a nightmare, every time you interact with them, you\u2019re constantly being taught lessons in customer service (even if they\u2019re an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/forbesrealestatecouncil\/2019\/10\/04\/managing-an-accidental-landlord-understand-your-tenant-rights-to-protect-yourself\/\">accidental landlord<\/a>\u00a0trying to figure things out on the fly).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thumbor.forbes.com\/thumbor\/960x0\/https%3A%2F%2Fspecials-images.forbesimg.com%2Fdam%2Fimageserve%2F871144656%2F960x0.jpg%3Ffit%3Dscale\" alt=\"How To Become An All-Star Property Manager\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So, if you\u2019re looking for ways to improve your business\u2019s customer service, or if you happen to be a property manager who wants to be better, you\u2019d do well to pore over the blueprint that the best property managers and landlords seem to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Communicate well and relatively often.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nobody wants a landlord who doubles as a stalker \u2014 but you also don\u2019t want to feel like you never know what\u2019s going on in your own home. The best property managers send emails or texts or use some sort of social app to communicate with their tenants when new issues crop up. Will the building\u2019s electricity be out for four hours in two weeks due to some scheduled maintenance in the neighborhood? Is a main hallway or lobby going to be painted? Will somebody be coming into your home to work on the plumbing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You want as much advance notice as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a good property manager, you aren\u2019t going to be living in a world with a lot of surprises. Just as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/business\/\">businesses <\/a>send coupons or reminders of sales to loyal customers, the best property managers let their tenants know that they care. Some might have an annual \u201cget to know your neighbors\u201d barbecue for anyone who wants to come.
