I personally think of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/business\/\">management and leadership<\/a> as\u00a0<em>callings<\/em>, and we all get these callings to manage and lead at different times, and to different degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/batagroup-hr.com\/trainingacademy\/images\/knowledge-base\/Self-Management.jpg\" alt=\"Twelve Rules for Self-Management \" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Considered another way, I believe we can all learn to be more self-governing through the&nbsp;<em>disciplines<\/em>&nbsp;of great management and great leadership; these are concepts that can give us wonderful tenets to live and work by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, these are what I\u2019ve come to think of as\u00a0<strong>12\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/business\/\">Rules for Self-Management<\/a><\/strong>. Show me a business where everyone lives and works by self-managing, and I\u2019ll bet it\u2019s a business destined for greatness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Live by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifehack.org\/569422\/what-are-values-and-why-need-them-for-fulfilling-life\">your values<\/a>, whatever they are. You confuse people when you don\u2019t, because they can\u2019t predict how you\u2019ll behave.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Speak up! No one can \u201chear\u201d what you\u2019re thinking without you be willing to stand up for it. Mind-reading is something most people can\u2019t do.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Honor your own good word, and keep the promises you make. If not, people eventually stop believing most of what you say, and your words will no longer work for you.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>When you ask for more responsibility, expect to be held fully accountable. This is what seizing ownership of something is all about; it\u2019s usually an all or nothing kind of thing, and so you\u2019ve got to treat it that way.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Don\u2019t expect people to trust you if you aren\u2019t willing to be trustworthy for them first and foremost. Trust is an outcome of fulfilled expectations.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Be more productive by creating good habits and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifehack.org\/articles\/lifestyle\/bad-habits-quit.html\">rejecting bad ones<\/a>.
