Here&#8217;s how your focus will change.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What it takes to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/business\/\">start a company<\/a> is not what it takes to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/bruce-eckfeldt\/if-you-want-to-scale-your-business-faster-increase-your-agility-using-these-5-principles.html\">scale a company<\/a>. In fact, the mindset and skills that made you successful as a founder can work against you as you step into the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/bruce-eckfeldt\/most-ceos-are-too-internally-focused-here-are-8-ways-to-get-out-of-office.html\">role of CEO<\/a>. Your strategies and your focus\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/bruce-eckfeldt\/organizational-change-is-hard-here-are-5-ways-to-make-it-easier.html\">need to change<\/a>, and if you fail to make those changes, you&#8217;ll hinder the development of both you and your business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a strategic coach, here is what I zero in on when working with Founders versus working with CEOs. Each role has a unique and different area of focus and skill set that makes it successful. Through coaching, I help my clients identify the role they need to be in,\u00a0based on the stage of the company&#8217;s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.entrepreneur.com\/content\/3x2\/2000\/20170921192309-GettyImages-486856508.jpeg\" alt=\"Why May You are not the Best Person to Grow Your Company\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What makes a great founder&#8230;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Finding unmet needs in the market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To start a business, you need to find that\u00a0unmet need&#8211;the one that causes a lot of problems. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/business\/\">Great founders<\/a> can hone in on problems that haven&#8217;t been solved well, and when solved will generate\u00a0value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Developing early&nbsp;solutions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you find a problem, you need to develop a solution. This could be either a product or service, but it needs to directly address the problem in a way that is truly a solution in your customer&#8217;s eyes. The best way to know you&#8217;re onto something is if&nbsp;people are willing to part with their hard-earned money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Defining a clear vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You&nbsp;must see into the future and paint a&nbsp;vivid picture of a&nbsp;better version of the world that you see.
