These leaders are looking for solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelly Leonard knows a lot of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.inc.com\/matthew-jones\/want-better-office-communication-try-these-3-simple-teambuilding-activities.html\">team-building<\/a>&nbsp;games from his job at the famed Chicago-based&nbsp;improv troupe, the Second City. But&nbsp;his new favorite&nbsp;starts with everyone on Zoom writing down a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/bill-murphy-jr\/17-things-best-employees-secretly-wish-their-bosses-would-do.html\">wish<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.incimages.com\/uploaded_files\/image\/600x400\/GettyImages-1219452187_428049.jpg\" alt=\"How the Team Has Reinvented in the Pandemic\"\/><figcaption>How the Team Has Reinvented in the Pandemic<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, they write down the emotions that achieving the wish would evoke. Then, they write down something they can do right now, in their home, to encourage those same emotions. A swim in the ocean would leave you feeling refreshed? Go for a walk. Slap water on your face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;You start to reflect on the fact that yes, you can&#8217;t do certain things, but&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/amy-morin\/how-to-control-your-emotions-so-your-emotions-dont-control-you.html\">you are in charge of your emotions<\/a>&nbsp;and your attitude toward the world right now,&#8221; says Leonard, the Second City&#8217;s&nbsp;executive director of learning and applied improvisation. And&nbsp;when entire teams come to that realization simultaneously, their&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/larry-kim\/how-to-de-stress-at-work-instantly-15-proven-ways-to-calm-your-mind.html\">stress eases<\/a>. Communication improves. So does productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leonard has been thinking a lot about people&#8217;s mindsets since&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inc.com\/jason-aten\/the-coronavirus-outbreak-could-change-way-you-work-heres-how-to-prepare-your-company.html\">the country shut down<\/a>&nbsp;and his company had to move its corporate team-building department, Second City Works, to the virtual realm. He&#8217;s one of the many team-building experts across the country spending their quarantines creating new programs that specifically address the demands of remote work in the coronavirus age. These activities range from Zoom improv to online magic shows&#8211;and they&#8217;re getting a big response&nbsp;as remote workplaces struggle to stay cohesive and low-stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second City Works launched&nbsp;its online&nbsp;program in April&#8211;at roughly $10,000 per workshop, it targets&nbsp;larger companies&#8211;and has already attracted&nbsp;big-name clients like Salesforce.
