You need to give it a few pointers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s why you\u2019ll need to conduct <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazzlepop.net\/site\/category\/seo\/\">keyword research<\/a> for SEO (the right way) if you want your eCommerce business to be found by your potential customers in an ocean of pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keywords, as you probably already know, are what searchers type in as search queries, such as \u201chow to make cookies from scratch?\u201d or \u201cwhat\u2019s the population of China?\u201d or \u201cwomen\u2019s shoes for work\u201d. It\u2019s whatever you type when looking for information, entertainment, a product to buy, or a specific company or site, for instance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.business2community.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/SEO_1608543242.png\" alt=\"How to Conduct Keyword Research for SEO \" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can (and should) conduct keyword research for your whole website or for standalone blog posts. Even for eCommerce sites, it\u2019s important to write informational posts to engage the audience and guide them towards the sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a time-consuming process, no sugar-coating here. But after the research your writing will become more targeted, flow much more easily, and you\u2019ll have a much higher chance of appearing on top of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keyword research gives search engines and your readers the knowledge of what your page is about, making it easier to navigate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s what makes it such a crucial process in digital marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The term people search for must be on the page, so your searchers know they\u2019re in the right place and know exactly what to do. And for organic search engine rankings, that\u2019s a score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So if your page is about women\u2019s running shoes, search engines will expect to see the term \u201cwomen\u2019s running shoes\u201d somewhere on the page (hopefully on top of it), as well as terms related to it throughout the body copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>One misconception about \u201ckeywords\u201d, especially for beginners, is about them being simply words, like \u201ccoffee\u201d or \u201cclothes\u201d. That\u2019s untrue.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some people even call them \u201ckeyword phrases\u201d or \u201ckeyphrases\u201d because people know that ranking for lone words such as \u201cshoes\u201d is virtually impossible when there are over 6 billion active websites out there. Remember that Google prioritizes YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) sites like medical sites, as well as authoritative sources. It won\u2019t be overnight success. Positioning for one page or one blog post in the top 10 results is already a great achievement.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article will teach you how to brainstorm keyword ideas, how to pick the right keywords, where to place them, and how to organize them.
